How do I become a teacher?

In Alberta, the minimum qualification is four years of postsecondary education leading to a bachelor of education (BEd) degree.

Labour mobility across Canada

Under the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), teachers who hold a valid teaching certificate from another Canadian jurisdiction are eligible for certification in Alberta without requiring additional education, training or examination and vice versa.
