Starting Strong

More than 600 of our newest colleagues came together this fall at Beginning Teachers’ Conferences for professional learning and networking. Open to teachers in their first two years of classroom teaching, the conferences were held in Edmonton from Sept. 26 to 27 and Calgary from Oct. 3 to 4.

Second-year teacher Brianna Bolt shared that she pursued teaching because working with students fills her cup—“It’s about inspiring students, their ‘a-ha’ moments.”
