Print your membership card and update your member profile
For teachers, an ATA membership card can be a ticket to discounts offered by hotels, merchants and other service providers throughout the province and beyond. If you don’t already have a membership card, the most convenient way to get one is through the ATA’s online member portal (find the link “Print your membership card”).
This self-serve function will be temporarily unavailable after July 9 , so if you don’t already have a membership card, print or screenshot it now! It’s the most convenient way to set yourself up for cost-effective summer adventures.
Update your member profile
Also, if your life has changed in any way—such as a name change, new address or new contact information—please update your member profile to ensure your changes are captured in our database. After July 9, such changes will require calling or emailing the ATA, so save yourself some time and update your profile now.
Questions can be directed to Membership Support at 1-855-407-3891 or membership@ata.ab.ca .
ICYMI: Alberta teachers invited to international congress
Alberta teachers are invited to participate in the 2027 International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), which will take place in Banff in January 2027.
ICSEI is an international congress that brings together teachers, school and system leaders, researchers, policymakers and community partners who are committed to strengthening schools and education systems. The 2027 congress theme is Be Well, Learn Well: Strengthening Belonging, Wellbeing, and Academic Growth .
Participants will have opportunities to engage with research, practice-based sessions, dialogue sessions, keynote addresses, professional learning opportunities, and colleagues from Canada and around the world. Teachers are encouraged to consider attending and, where appropriate, contributing through presentations, posters, practitioner-focused sessions, or other forms of participation.
Because the congress is being hosted in Alberta, the local organizing committee is especially eager to ensure that Alberta teachers are well represented.
Visit the website for more information, including registration and program details.
