For weeks, Alberta’s teachers have been preparing to welcome students back, bringing care, expertise and professionalism to every classroom. Today, following the Government of Alberta's highlighting of their previously announced education funding, teachers can take some measure of pride knowing that the issues they stood up for last year are now receiving greater attention and investment. As we enter this new year, we’re reminded that what matters most is that these dollars reach public classrooms and that further investments will make a meaningful difference for students and teachers across Alberta.
