The ATA Educational Trust (the Trust) awards a number of grants to help the costs associated with attending a conference, workshop, seminar, institute or symposium. 

Applications for specialist council conferences and academic courses are not eligible as they are supported by other ATA Educational Trust programs

Please fill out this application form online and submit it to the Trust at the address below. Applications must be received by 4:00 PM on or before September 30. 

CONDITIONS: 

  • Anyone who has received an Educational Trust bursary or grant in the past three years is ineligible to apply. 
  • By October 31, the names of recipients will be drawn from the list of qualified applicants. The names of the successful applicants will be posted on the Trust webpage. ATA locals will be notified. 
  • In order to be eligible for this bursary, an applicant must be a certificated teacher in Alberta OR submit formal confirmation of current enrolment in the last two years of an Alberta preservice teacher education program. 
  • The successful applicants will receive a claim form to submit to the Trust administrator. Original receipts for actual expenses that were not reimbursed by other groups must be attached to the claim form. Expenses related to child or pet care, books or materials, or the cost of travel companions are not eligible under the conditions of this grant.
