The Opportunity
The Manager, Business Solutions & Service Delivery is a key organizational leader responsible for aligning enterprise-wide technology capabilities with strategic business objectives to drive measurable impact across the organization. This role provides expert guidance, leadership, and coordination of digital initiatives that directly enhance operational performance, member engagement, and enterprise resilience. The incumbent applies advanced knowledge of business systems, service design, governance, and change leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions. Operating at the intersection of business strategy and technology innovation, this role ensures that IT investments create sustained value and competitive advantage, while enabling the organization's long-term digital transformation.
Specifically, this position is responsible for:
- Collaborate with the Chief Information Officer with duties associated with maturing the IT organization and supporting business processes.
- Formulates and executes enterprise ITS Department strategy in alignment with evolving business priorities and operational goals.
- Translates enterprise IT strategies into actionable operational plans and ensures effective execution within the ITS Department.
- Leads long-range planning and enterprise-wide initiatives such as digital transformation, cloud migration, and information security enhancements, aligned with business strategy.
- Oversees the implementation of department-level initiatives, including digital enablement, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity improvements, ensuring alignment with the broader enterprise strategy.
- Advises business leaders on the effective application of technology to drive member engagement, service excellence, and competitive differentiation.
- Coordinates cross-departmental initiatives to ensure cohesive IT governance and strategic alignment.
- Develops, maintains, and communicates technology roadmaps and investment strategies to guide organizational priorities.
- Leads enterprise operational execution of IT strategies set by the CIO, ensuring organizational technology capabilities directly support operational continuity and business goals.
- Direct the delivery of reliable and secure IT services including help desk, M365, cloud platforms, and application support.
- Monitor and optimize performance, resilience, and scalability of technology platforms, ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry best practices
- Manages enterprise wide IT operational risk, implementing mitigation strategies to protect service delivery and minimize business disruption.
- Benchmarking, analyzing, reporting on, and making recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT systems and services.
- Directs the allocation of IT resources and vendor services to meet enterprise service needs, providing leadership over managed service provider relationships and contracts.
- Develops and implements operational KPIs to assess IT performance, ensuring continuous service improvement and alignment with business SLAs.
- Leads operational risk management, incident response, disaster recovery, and cyber risk mitigation strategies to maintain business continuity.
- Leads financial planning, forecasting, and optimization of the IT operations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources aligned with strategic initiatives
- Manages vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance evaluation to maximize service value and control risk.
- Establishes multi-vendor governance models and frameworks for accountability, escalation, and service delivery excellence.
- Benchmarking, analyzing, reporting on vendor service levels and effectiveness
- Acts as the primary liaison between ITS and internal business units, ensuring proactive alignment of IT services with business needs.
- Communicates complex technology topics clearly to diverse stakeholder audiences, including executives, managers, and frontline staff.
- Facilitates organization-wide technology awareness, organizational change enablement, and champions adoption of digital tools that improve member service delivery.
- Resolves cross-functional challenges by leveraging influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Leads collaborative problem-solving and change management efforts during transitions to new systems or services.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to IT staff, encouraging professional development and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Monitoring team activities to ensure ongoing alignment with strategic plans and individual goals.
- Ensures IT operations are compliant with legal, regulatory, and industry standards, including cybersecurity and data privacy legislation.
If you have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Minimum 10 years of progressive senior experience in IT leadership, enterprise environments, strategic planning or business technology systems with a significant responsibility for digital transformation and business relationship management.
- Demonstrated leadership in technology integration, IT governance, and stakeholder engagement
- Proven track record with vendor management and budgeting in a multi-vendor, enterprise environment
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Strong operational skillset with a service attitude.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure services.
- Experience working with managed service provider vendors.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Knowledge of best practices with respect to cyber security.
- Strategic enterprise thinking, enterprise planning, and executive communication
- Experience with Budgeting, forecasting, and vendor negotiations
- High emotional intelligence and influence with or without formal authority
- Expert level analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

- ITIL & PMP designations are considered assets
